Monster Hunter, which Screen Gems is releasing into theaters as the COVID-19 pandemic rages worse than ever, is based on the 16-year-old video game franchise of the same name from Capcom (it happens to be the publisher’s second-best selling series after Resident Evil, for which Anderson has also steered the six-film movie franchise to box office success). Like so many other video game adaptations, including the ones Anderson has besieged us with, it’s junk....

There is a LOT going on in Moon Knight episode 4. The final few minutes include our title character seemingly dying, only to shift gears into a dreamlike reality that paints the events of the show as the delusions of a sick man. Then it gets even weirder and ends with a hell of a cliffhanger. But those surreal final moments distract from one of the big subplots introduced in the past couple of episodes: what happened to Layla’s father?...

Ever since Marvel Studios began the tradition of including extra scenes during or after the end credits of its films–starting with the now legendary appearance of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury at the end of Iron Man–such bonus content is considered mandatory. Fox has officially announced its renewal for Prodigal Son Season 2, assuring fans that the crimson-coated cliffhanger on which the inaugural season ended will get to play out onscreen. Moreover, in a move that seems to imply that this renewal was always in the bag, the network also released a proper teaser trailer for the second season of Prodigal Son, featuring new footage about the aftermath of said cliffhanger moment (more on that angle later)....

If you’re looking at Resident Evil Village as a product, it’s hard not to consider the game a success even this early into its lifespan. Capcom is probably pretty happy with the game, and in many of the ways that matter most, they should be happy. Resident Evil Village is a very good game. You could even probably throw out the word “great” in many circles and not have to argue about it....
